Quick Take: Zenprise for BlackBerry & Zenprise for Exchange
Today's enterprises thrive on mobile e-mail, which makes system uptime critical. Two new software offerings from Zenprise automate trouble-shooting and root-cause analysis of problems for RIM BlackBerry and Microsoft Exchange services. They perform a deep discovery to determine the roles that BlackBerry and Exchange servers play in the architecture, as well as their topological relationship and dependencies. Zenprise has cataloged more than 5,000 problems that can affect these two services and the ways to troubleshoot them. Once Zenprise discovers a problem, through network tracepaths and remote application calls, the company uses an agent-based and agentless technology to perform tests and diagnose problems. The problem database will be continually updated. --Michael Biddick
