Chris Hoff Talks SDN, Security & More

Way back in 2011, when most of us were scratching our heads about software-defined networking, security architect Chris Hoff had already pegged security as SDN's killer app.

As Hoff, known to many of you as @Beaker, wrote in his blog, "The more programmatic and instrumented the network becomes, the more capable our security options will become." In a world of SDN, DevOps, and cloud computing, does network security continue to be the bane of enterprise IT? Or do we have the ability to overcome it completely?

Join Network Computing Radio on Friday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m. EDT, to discuss these issues and more with Chris Hoff.

Interviewing Chris will be our very own "man-with-the-golden-voice" Curtis Franklin. Curt will direct the first part of the conversation, then open the floor to allow the audience to interact with Chris in our live text session. So get those questions ready -- you can even start entering them now to be sure you're first in line.

The show promises to be informative and entertaining. Chris has 20 years of experience in high-profile global roles in network and information security architecture, engineering, operations, product management, and marketing, with a passion for virtualization and all things cloud. He is currently Vice President of Strategy and Planning at Juniper Networks, after serving as the company's Chief Security Architect.

He has held similar roles at Cisco, Unisys, and Crossbeam Systems. Chris is also a founding member and technical advisor to the Cloud Security Alliance, founder of the CloudAudit project and HacKid Technology conference, and writes the Rational Survivability blog.

Register and join us this Friday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m. EDT (10:00 a.m. PDT) to hear all about some of the most important technologies in IT today -- including SDN, DevOps, cloud, and security -- from one of its brightest and most respected minds.
