SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Xsigo Systems, Inc.,
the technology leader in data center I/O virtualization, today
announced it has successfully completed interoperability testing
across a wide range of HP storage and server products.
Broad interoperability is a significant and unique benefit of Xsigo's
technology. Unlike proprietary systems that were designed around
single-vendor hardware and software, the Xsigo I/O Director was
designed to be interoperable across a range of multi-vendor
solutions. Last week Xsigo announced it successfully achieved IBM
interoperability certification and has now completed similar testing
to prove HP interoperability.
HP interoperability testing was conducted over a period of four weeks
at HP's Partner Technology Alliance Center in Cupertino, California.
The test suite included 42 separate hardware and software tests, many
running under strenuous conditions for 72 hours continuously. The
tests replicated all phases of operation, including installation,
management and maintenance. Scalability and performance testing were
also incorporated to simulate the most demanding enterprise
environments. Test result details can be viewed at www.xsigo.com.
"Xsigo products complement HP solutions by enabling a faster, more
cost effective approach to server connectivity," said Ashok
Krishnamurthi, CEO and chairman, Xsigo Systems. "With this testing,
Xsigo has demonstrated that our approach to open standards lets
customers boost data center utilization and cut costs with
multi-vendor solutions across servers, blade systems, storage, and
HP enterprise products tested include:
