Vizioncare Adds DR for SMBs

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. -- Vizioncore Inc., a leading provider of strategic software solutions for VMware Infrastructure environments, today announced delivery of Virtual Disaster Recovery for SMB (VDR for SMB), an enterprise-class and cost-effective disaster recovery product bundle for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). VDR for SMB is targeted at customers with between five and 50 physical servers who are looking to experience the benefits of virtualization and disaster recovery for the first time.

VDR for SMB is a bundled offering provided by Vizioncores channel partners that includes VMware Infrastructure 3 Starter Edition and Vizioncore esxEssentials, which includes modules for hot backup and recovery; replication; and virtual machine tuning and performance. VMware Infrastructure 3 provides SMBs with an affordable way to convert and consolidate physical servers to virtual machines, thereby saving money on physical servers as well as consumption of power, cooling and IT management. In addition, the Vizioncore toolset helps enable hot backup and recovery; remote replication; and performance management and chargeback for virtualized environments. This channel offering provides SMBs with another option for backing up their most mission- and business-critical virtual machines to remote locations as well as replicate them for failover in the event of disaster.

“This bundle brings together the critical components needed for affordable disaster recovery and business continuity for the SMB market,” said Chris Akerberg, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing of Vizioncore Inc. “The channel offering also enables SMBs to affordably and reliably safeguard their data, applications, operating system and servers. This ability is unprecedented in the physical space, where the need for redundant hardware and expensive SAN replication puts disaster recovery and business continuity out of the realm of possibility for many of these companies. Our approach can replicate to dissimilar hardware and does not depend on attached network storage to be effective. Combine that with the additional benefits of server consolidation and heightened performance management, and you have an excellent combination in this offering.”
