HP Unveils New Products

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced new products, solutions and services designed specifically to help the worlds midsize companies -- the “Global 500,000” -- accelerate growth and reduce operating costs.

Highlighting the launch is “Shorty,” the compact HP BladeSystem c3000 enclosure for smaller technology sites, branch offices and remote locations. Implementation of the c3000 requires no special power, cooling or staff, easing midsize customers’ ability to gain the benefits of a fully bladed environment.

HP also unveiled the HP StorageWorks All-in-One SB600c Storage Blade, which works in both the new c3000 and the existing HP BladeSystem c7000. Additionally, HP has released new application “blueprints,” called HP Solution Blocks, which simplify and accelerate the integration of multiple application and data protection solutions into the new c3000 enclosure.

New HP research indicates that two-thirds of midsize businesses want technology offerings that meet their needs and are created just for them. In addition, almost 90 percent of senior business and technology executives at midsize companies say their company is doing more with less by using technology.(1)

The new products, backed by a set of HP Care Pack services, expand HP’s Adaptive Infrastructure (http://www.hp.com/go/adaptiveinfrastructure) portfolio, which helps customers of all sizes reap the benefits of an infrastructure tailored to meet their business requirements.
