Alex Patent is vice president and global infrastructure architecture leader at Nielsen, responsible for leading the architecture, technology standards, and strategy for the enterprise. Mr. Patent joined Nielsen in 2010 to serve as director of global technology, responsible for overall global strategy and standards for infrastructure technologies and business systems. He also had responsibility for the service delivery of the overall storage and BRS environment, providing governance and leadership for the management of over 40PB of data globally. Prior to joining Nielsen, Mr. Patent was the director, IT systems engineering at WellCare Health Plans. He has held several senior management and leadership positions with other global and local companies, including Accenture, where he was a technology integration manager. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics from Colorado State University and a Master's in computer information systems and telecommunication management from the University of Miami School of Business.
