Lockdown NAC Wins Cisco Seal of Approval

Lockdown Networks is another in a long line of vendors (36 as of today) who are working toward, or have already accomplished, integration with Cisco's NAC Framework. Microsoft's NAP Partner Program is seeing substantial activity as well. Other NAC initiatives, like Trusted Computing Group and the NEA--which lack integration programs--will have a difficult time competing for attention.

Lockdown Networks disclosed this week that its Lockdown Enforcer security policy management solution now works with Cisco Systems' NAC devices.

The vendor's Lockdown Enforcer can now act an audit server in Cisco environments, assessing the health of Cisco agent-less host devices. Lockdown Enforcer can launch audits against NAH devices based on Generic Authorization Message Exchange (GAME) queries from Cisco Access Control Servers (ACS).
