WALTHAM, Mass. -- V.i. Laboratories, Inc. (“V.i. Labs”), a provider of software protection solutions for securing high-value and mission critical applications, announced today it is the newest member of the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP). V.i. Labs joined to take advantage of the many benefits offered by the program, including the opportunity to influence products through feedback, obtain real world customer insight on Microsoft pre-release products and specialized product team engineering.

Through this alliance, V.i. Labs is also announcing its support of a new Microsoft initiative, Software Licensing and Protection (SLP) Services. The SLP Services are designed to protect intellectual property (IP), easily and flexibly by allowing for the creation and licensing of product versions, tracking products and feature usage, and integration into back-end business processes.

V.i. Labs’ flagship solution, CodeArmor™, provides active run-time protection and reverse engineering countermeasures for IP protection of high-value software. When combined with the Microsoft SLP Services solutions, the two measures provide Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with the most comprehensive defense available in the industry to combat the threats of overt software piracy and reverse engineering.

“We are pleased to see such a strong industry partner supporting SLP Services,” said Thomas Lindeman, group product manager for SLP Services at Microsoft Corp. “This integration will further validate both the need and benefit of the SLP Services licensing system within independent software vendor applications.”
