PALO ALTO, Calif. -- PortAuthority Technologies, Inc.,™ the Authority in Information Leak Prevention (ILP), today announced that the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU), a financial services cooperative serving members in 210 countries and territories worldwide, has purchased PortAuthority’s ILP solution to protect its confidential information and members’ personal data.

With PortAuthority’s technology, UNFCU can protect the privacy of its members’ information and further its ability to comply with National Credit Union Association guidelines, as well as international regulations as it continues to expand overseas. UNFCU serves the staff of the UN, its specialized agencies, family members and retirees of the UN system globally, providing a broad array of financial products, services and solutions. Current membership exceeds 75,000 members.

“We evaluated the major players in this space, and selected PortAuthority because we needed a product that would not just log activity, but would also report it and enforce our policies,” said Michael L. Walker, manager of Information Security at UNFCU. “The staff and technical resources of PortAuthority were responsive to our needs. We also liked the appliance form factor feature, which makes installation and roll-out easier.”
