MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Securent, Inc., the award-winning leader in the Application Entitlement Management market, today announced that it has named former vice president of sales at Netegrity, Carmen Parisi, as its vice president of sales. In this role, Parisi is responsible for market development for the company’s application entitlement management products through direct sales, and indirect channel and reseller programs.

In addition, the company today also announced that it has appointed Ranjeet Vidwans, previously of Oracle, as its vice president of business development. In this position, Vidwans is responsible for the strategy and execution of all elements of Securent’s strategic partner landscape, including technology partners, systems integrators and OEM partners.

Securent enables organizations to secure sensitive applications and data with ease and precision. Securent’s Entitlement Management Solution (EMS) is the first and only XACML standard-based solution that allows organizations to create, enforce, review, and audit fine-grained access policies across heterogeneous application and IT environments distributed throughout the enterprise, all with centralized management and visibility. EMS provides a more scalable and cost-effective alternative to custom coding of fine-grained access controls into applications. The results, as seen in Fortune 1000 deployments, include improved security and compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Basel Capital Accord (Basel II), and the National Association of Securities Dealers Rule 2711 (NASD 2711).

“The addition of these proven leaders in the identity and access market to Securent’s executive team further adds to our growing corporate capabilities,” said Rajiv Gupta, CEO of Securent, Inc. “Carmen has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to be successful in the IT enterprise arena leading direct and indirect sales efforts, especially at Netegrity where he increased the customer base more than 10-fold in less than three years. With Ranjeet, we bring onboard an executive with deep business development experience and relationships in the identity management and provisioning spaces. With the very relevant experience and expertise that Carmen and Ranjeet bring to Securent we will further accelerate our ability to address the security and compliance needs of enterprise customers through innovative, cost-effective, and comprehensive solutions for full visibility and control of entitlement policies to their application and data resources.”
