MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Provilla, Inc., a leading provider of ultra-accurate, intelligent endpoint solutions for enterprise data leak protection (DLP), today released a new version of its flagship LeakProof(tm) intelligent data leak prevention solution that extends protection to the Windows Vista platform. Provilla LeakProof 2.2 maintains Provilla's lead as the industry's most versatile DLP solution, and ensures enterprises will continue to receive intelligent protection as they begin to adopt this latest operating environment.

With this release, the Provilla anti-leak agent is now capable of running within the Windows Vista kernel at the highest security level to monitor all parts of the system and block unauthorized user actions. If the Provilla anti-leak agent identifies a content-output action - pasting content, attaching a document to an email, or copying a file - involving protected content, the agent automatically logs the action, advises the user of the problem, and depending on policy, blocks the action. The Provilla anti-leak agent has been benchmarked as the fastest in the industry - twice as fast as the most popular A/V agents - and offers protection at every port for any kind of data in any language, and at every endpoint.

"Windows Vista will become an important enterprise platform that must be protected against information leakage, and now Provilla is the first to offer an intelligent data leak prevention solution that supports Vista and enables organizations to maintain continuous security across the board,"said Glen Kosaka, vice president of marketing for Provilla. "As with other platforms, the Vista agent resides on the endpoint with its own policy-matching capability and signature database, enabling it to rapidly detect sensitive data and monitor it to prevent leakage through any local device, network interface or application, whether online or offline."
