Hitachi Vantara announced the availability of Hitachi Kubernetes Service, an enterprise-grade solution for managing multiple Kubernetes environments. Hitachi Kubernetes Service lets users securely deploy, manage, monitor, and govern Kubernetes clusters across different cloud providers and on-premises. The service helps organizations accelerate the adoption of cloud-native applications by streamlining the management of the underlying infrastructure and Kubernetes cluster deployments. The service also simplifies how developers use and consume IT-delivered container services, whether these are delivered from on-premises or hybrid environments. Additionally, Hitachi Kubernetes Service provides enterprise-grade security with secure communications between the Kubernetes clusters and the SaaS management plane in the cloud.

Platform9, a provider of open-source SaaS managed solutions for private and edge clouds, announced several new features to provide operational efficiencies for its enterprise managed Kubernetes products. Key advances include multi-version Kubernetes support, enhanced cluster deployment options, and upgraded manageability. Use cases span technology, retail, telco, media, and entertainment verticals.

BSO announced it will offer on-demand connectivity to Oracle Cloud as an official Oracle Cloud FastConnect partner. BSO Cloud Connect provides businesses with seamless, on-demand connectivity from their data centers and networks, office, or colocation environment to Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. The partnership between BSO and Oracle Cloud provides a dedicated, private, and highly secure connection from an enterprise site to its critical data and applications within Oracle’s Cloud. BSO will offer Oracle Cloud FastConnect services up to 10Gbps from any of its 240+ POPs.

OVHcloud is collaborating with IBM and Atempo to develop a Storage-as-a-Service offering to meet European enterprise and public institution security, sovereignty, and resilience needs for the preservation of sensitive data. The solution will be based on IBM Enterprise Tape technology and an Atempo software stack hosted and operated by OVHcloud in new data centers in the French territory. Specifically, this long-term storage solution will leverage the IBM Enterprise 3592 Tape technology and will be orchestrated by Atempo's technology platform, Miria. Also, OVHcloud will innovate through the in-between addition of erasure coding 9+3 technology for data protection, allowing smart replication and split of user data. To address data localization concerns of European organizations, the solution will be hosted and operated by OVHcloud in four new dedicated facilities, all located in France and each separated by several hundred kilometers.

OpsRamp has expanded its solution set to support IT Ops professionals whose companies have been impacted by the pandemic. To that end, OpsRamp is rolling out two new solutions: OpsRamp NetFlow monitoring, which delivers deep analysis of network traffic, and OpsRamp Unified Communications monitoring, for detailed analysis of voice and collaboration data. The OpsRamp NetFlow Monitoring solution allows IT Ops pros to do modeling and predictive analysis of flow data collected from servers and network devices. The solution delivers real-time diagnosis of network latency across WAN links to identify “top talkers” (source, destination, protocols, apps) impacting users and business services. OpsRamp NetFlow can also generate alerts based on network traffic utilization, providing insights into network utilization patterns to aid in capacity planning or post-incident analysis. The OpsRamp UC Monitoring solution provides IT Ops pros a deep analysis of user communication (voice, SMS, video, chat) collected from UC systems such as Cisco and Avaya and cloud collaboration systems such as Zoom.
