Apcon IntellaPatch 288
Apcon introduced this high-speed switching system at the recent NetWorld+Interop show. The 288-port, any-to-any, nonblocking physical layer product comes with advanced software management, an embedded Web browser, telnet, simultaneous multiuser access, advanced scripting tools and secure management interfaces. Supporting up to 18 blades and a number of protocols, IntellaPatch 288 is platform-agnostic and can be controlled remotely. Starts at $100,000. Apcon, 800-624-6808, 503-639-6700, www.apcon.com

AtomPark Software Outlook Remote Access 1.10
Unlike GoToMYPC or pcAnywhere, AtomPark Software's plug-in for Windows XP doesn't use a client-server architecture. Rather, it's plugged into the PC to be accessed and waits for commands to be delivered by e-mail. Remote-access functionality includes remote shutdown, running of file or DOS applications, monitor or view screenshot capture, and e-mail retrieval. $25 for single-user license. AtomPark Software, +7-812-9401381. www.etopping.com/outlook/remoteaccess

Expand Networks ExpandView 3.0
Designed to simplify application performance management on a WAN, ExpandView 3.0 provides a dynamic network map with a real-time view of the WAN and allows both monitoring and management of Expand's WAN optimization appliances. In order to build up configuration and performance databases, ExpandView autodetects all accelerators, then provides them with parameter updates on power-up so it can collect statistics. Starts at $5,000 for a 10-user license. Expand Networks, (888) 892-1250, (973) 618-9000. www.expand.com
