A survey conducted by Decision Analyst Inc. for Circuit City Stores revealed that 86 percent of the owners of digital cameras said they purchased the cameras so they could "know instantly whether they got the picture they wanted."

The survey, released Tuesday, also found that 80 percent of digital camera users said it is important for them to be able to print only the pictures they want.

The survey indicated that owners of digital cameras aren't entirely happy with their purchases – 65 percent said they want improved picture resolution while 14 percent said they are seeking smaller more stylish designs in their phones. Eight percent of the 2,900 persons polled said they want a better lens in their digital cameras.
