Acer extends Norton consumer security product offerings

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Symantec today announced that Acer Incorporatedwill now be shipping a Vista-compatible version of Norton Internet Security2007. Currently, Acer ranks as the world's number four PC brand with over45 million Acer desktop and notebook PCs sold globally. Customers whopurchase an Acer PC will now be able to use a 90-day trial of NortonInternet Security 2007, which is now compatible with the Vista operatingsystem. Acer customers now have the industry leading security solutionsuite to protect their PCs from spyware, viruses, worms and hackers fromentering a user's system while also leveraging antiphishing tools tosafeguard against visiting fraudulent Web sites. In addition, NortonInternet Security 2007 will include innovative technology that provides"zero hour" protection from the latest Internet threats.
