RESTON, Va. -- Intellitactics unveiled Intellitactics™ Security Manager Summer 2006 to dramatically simplify the implementation and administration of security information and event management (SIEM), allowing organizations to accelerate time to value from their investment. The new release delivers an improved workflow to detect insider threats and resolve security incidents and an advanced reporting system to accelerate the creation reports for decision support and compliance audits. Further, the release introduces control monitoring and reporting to enforce security policy to strengthen the protection of enterprise information.

This major release follows Intellitactics’ January 2006 announcement of another industry first – security assurance metrics on a security dashboard to measure security value. Randy Davis, President and CEO of Intellitactics, shares the Company’s philosophy on making the value of SIEM software more accessible: “Our early customers invested both time and money in implementing an enterprise security management solution. Their organizations had the expertise, time, and resources to customize the product to meet often unique requirements. Since then, the functional requirements of a SIEM have become more standard, even while the complexity of security infrastructures has increased. Today’s buyer wants the value without a long and expensive implementation - and they also want the flexibility to adapt the solution to reflect their unique enterprise security policy. This new release is aimed at today’s buyer – simplified implementation and administration of best-of-breed SIEM features with the unequaled adaptability and flexibility to adapt to enterprise specific requirements that we are known for.”

“We’re seeing increased interest in SIEM as a critical success factor for effective security management,” states Scott Crawford, Senior Analyst with Enterprise Management Associates. “All companies are looking for ways to get immediate value from security investments. They also know that capturing corporate knowledge is key to deriving value. In approaching a SIEM investment decision, buyers should look for a vendor that makes security information and event management simple, while providing user configured and service opportunities to layer on corporate knowledge as proficiencies increase.”
