SAN JOSE, Calif. -- CipherMax, Inc., the technology leader of enterprise-class storage security solutions, today announced that its CM100T tape encryption product has been confirmed as IBM System Storage Proven with the successful completion of interoperability testing with IBM’s Tivoli Storage Manager, IBM System Storage 3584 Tape Library and IBM Ultrium tape drive products. The IBM System Storage Proven program builds on IBM’s already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third-party products.

With the completion of this testing within the IBM Innovation Center, the CipherMax CM100T now joins the CM250 as an IBM System Storage Proven solution. The CipherMax CM product line is the only storage security solution with integrated SAN switching and enterprise scalability that is available to customers today.

“CipherMax products complement IBM storage solutions by offering a cost-effective and transparent solution for addressing immediate storage security requirements,” said Ray Kao, chairman and CEO of CipherMax. “Customers who have compliance requirements or data privacy concerns can easily and confidently embrace storage encryption today with CipherMax products and gain the immediate reassurance that their stored data is protected from unauthorized viewing and tampering. Our participation in this program demonstrates that CipherMax and IBM are each focused on customer satisfaction by promoting greater interoperability.”
