WALTHAM, Mass. -- Q1 Labs, a leading network security management company, today announced new and extremely powerful additions to its family of network security management (NSM) appliances, the QRadar™ 3100 NSM appliance and two expansion appliances, the 1700 Flow Log Processor and 1600 Event Log Processor. These new appliances provide the flexibility and scalability that organizations, small to large, need to expand their threat management, log management and compliance enforcement initiatives. The new appliances position Q1 Labs as the first vendor to offer an appliance-based approach to scaling customer’s security event management and network behavior analysis needs in one solution.

Traditional approaches to network and security monitoring force customers to select either complex software deployed on distributed hardware or appliances limited by sub-standard analysis capabilities. The new QRadar appliance family addresses these limitations by providing simple to deploy appliances that can incrementally grow from 5,000 events per second to beyond 250,000 events per second, with flowspeeds of 200,000 flows to several millions of flows per second, all with stackable, scalable and reliable appliances.
