Iron Mountain Digital Appoints Engel

Iron Mountain announced that Fred Engel has joined Iron Mountain Digital as the chief technology officer

BOSTON -- Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM - News), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today announced that Fred Engel has joined Iron Mountain Digital as the chief technology officer. Mr. Engel will be responsible for the strategy and development of Iron Mountain Digital's comprehensive suite of data protection and e-records management software and services.

With more than 30 years of corporate strategy and product development experience, Mr. Engel most recently served as executive vice president and chief technology officer for Concord Communications until it was acquired by Computer Associates in 2005. During his tenure with Concord Communications, Mr. Engel helped grow the company's business from its inception to $150 million in revenues and participated in the company's IPO. He was previously the vice president of engineering at Technology Concepts/Bell Atlantic. Mr. Engel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a Masters of Computer Science degree from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, he also holds several patents in network management and security. Mr. Engel will report directly to John Clancy, President of Iron Mountain Digital.
