IDEMA Picks Executive Director

IDEMA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael A. Russak to executive director for North America

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- IDEMA, the International Disk Drive, Equipment, and Materials Association, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael A. Russak to executive director for North America.

Dr. Russak has more than 35 years of storage related materials and operations experience which he gained from a variety of previous positions in both scientific and executive management roles. Before joining IDEMA, Dr.Russak served as president and chief technology officer (CTO) of Komag, Inc., where he directed corporate research and development efforts and helped set the company's overall business direction.

"We are thrilled to be appointing someone with such a strong background in materials and engineering to run our North America business unit," said Dr.Joel Weiss, president for IDEMA. "Mike has the right combination of storage industry and management experience to represent IDEMA members from all sides of the business. We look forward to his contributions."
