Diligent Names VP

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Diligent Technologies Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise data protection solutions, today announced the appointment of Peter OBrien to the position of Vice President, Business Development. Diligent continues to experience record growth, and is augmenting its management team with the addition of Mr. O’Brien. His domestic and international experience and knowledge of both established and start-up environments will help Diligent enhance and expand its OEM and distribution channels.

Mr. O’Brien was most recently VP, Business Development at Mendocino Software where he secured OEM deals with EMC and HP and established channel sales. He has also held executive positions at SUN Microsystems, where he was responsible for managing SUN’s OEM customers in the Bay area, and positions at Sistina Software, Rhapsody Networks and VERITAS Software.

Mr. O’Brien is a graduate of St. John’s Vianney Prep Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. He has been a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society for 12 years and holds over 100 class certificates from the society.
