Agami announced the internal appointment of David Stiles to President and CEO

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Agami Systems, Inc., an industry leader in delivering enterprise-class unified storage systems with live replication and breakthrough operational performance and TCO, today announced the internal appointment of David Stiles to President and CEO.Mr. Stiles succeeds Kumar Sreekanti, who remains Chairman of the Board of Directors.
David Stiles, who joined agami Systems in 2005 as Chief Technologist, was instrumental in the development of the company's innovative unified storage system. Prior to joining agami Systems, Stiles held leadership positions at three of the most successful emerging technology companies, collectively raising $18 billion in valuations for their investors. His prior roles included chief architect of the SmartEdge product family at Redback Networks, founding CEO of Siara Systems (acquired by Redback), chief architect of Cerent Corp. (Cisco's largest acquisition), and VP Engineering and chief architect of Nexgen Microsystems (now AMD). At Nexgen, Mr. Stiles designed advanced processor architectures and drove development teams that led to the development of the AMD K6 and Athlon microprocessors. Mr. Stiles holds dozens of patents in the processor, telecommunications, and networking fields and holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from MIT.

In his role as Chairman, former CEO Kumar Sreekanti, will continue to focus on guiding the company's strategy and act as an advisor to the management team. agami Systems also announced that Chief Financial Officer, Dean Seniff, is no longer with the company.
agami Systems recently completed an initial closing on its Series C financing round and expects to formalize a funding announcement at the conclusion of the funding. The financing will be used for expansion with a focus on sales and marketing. "What commits us to agami Systems is the company's demonstrated ability to develop an innovative product that provides a real alternative to legacy storage solutions," said Scott Sandell. "With David at the helm, agami will gain even more momentum in the enterprise storage market."Last month, agami Systems began shipping the latest agami Information Server (AIS), which now includes unified network storage capabilities (NAS and IP SAN), to enable the consolidation of different forms of business data on a single storage platform. As of first quarter 2007, agami has shipped over 150 systems to more than 65 customers who include Carnegie Mellon University, Lorenz Surgical, Merced Systems and San Diego State University.
