REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Liberty Alliance, the global identity consortium working to build a more trusted Internet for consumers, governments and businesses worldwide, today announced the webcast Identity Assurance Framework: Advancing the Marketplace, taking place at 8:00am US PT on November 29. The Identity Assurance Framework (IAF) has been developed by the Liberty Alliance Identity Assurance Expert Group (IAEG) with input from leading financial services, government, healthcare, IT and telecommunications organizations to provide federation operators with business and policy standards for more easily making trust decisions about the acceptance and management of identity credentials within their respective federations.

“The IAF fills cross-industry requirements for an industry standard that allows federation operators to simplify interoperability, rapidly deploy new services and deliver an enhanced customer experience,” said Jane Hennessy, Senior Vice President, Wells Fargo Bank and Co-chair of the Liberty Alliance Identity Assurance Expert Group. “The November 29th webcast will demonstrate how the IAF makes it easier for all federations to expand based on certified identity assurance levels and standardized business and policy criteria.”
