Fidelis Opens to 3rd Party Applications

BETHESDA, Md. -- Fidelis Security Systems, the authority on extrusion prevention, today announced the release of a new application programming interface (API) in its flagship product, the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System® (Fidelis XPS™) which will allow other providers of IT infrastructure and applications to access the Fidelis XPS decoding stack and policy engine for content analysis.

The recently released interface, implemented via the Simple Content Inspection Protocol (SCIP), exposes Fidelis XPS’ leading content analysis to third party applications and tools ranging from endpoint security to messaging to storage solutions. SCIP enables a standard interface for these applications to seamlessly and immediately access the Fidelis XPS decoding stack and content policy engine. This integration enables Fidelis XPS customers to have a single location to manage content polices for both Fidelis XPS sensors and partner solutions.

“Fidelis Security Systems is known as a company dedicated to providing the industry’s leading network data leakage prevention technology combined with comprehensive, accurate content analysis,” said Gene Savchuk, CTO of Fidelis Security Systems. “The release of the Simple Content Inspection Protocol allows third parties to access our expertise, delivering the power of our content analysis platform to their customers.”
