Yosemite Technologies delivers Yosemite Backup 8.7 with enhanced disaster recovery for Microsoft Vista and Windows Server 2008

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Yosemite Technologies, Inc., a globalprovider of total data protection solutions, today announced it has added fullsupport for Microsoft Vista and Windows Server 2008 operating systems with theimmediate release of Yosemite Backup 8.7. This latest version of Yosemite’spopular server backup solution extends its ability to protect virtual environmentsto now include Microsoft Windows Hyper-V, in addition to existing support forVMware, delivering a simple and reliable solution to customers who use virtualmachines.

Also featured in Yosemite Backup 8.7 is updated bare-metal disaster recoveryutilizing the latest version of Windows PE (WinPE 2.1) for Vista and WindowsServer 2008. This will allow for recovery to dissimilar hardware and set the stagefor further BMDR functionality in future versions of the product.
