Verari Launches Forest Container

SAN DIEGO -- Verari Systems, a premier developer of
energy efficient data center and desktop consolidation platforms and
independent blade-based computing and storage solutions, today unveiled the
Verari FOREST container solution, a portable data center that can be rapidly
deployed wherever extremely power-efficient compute and storage solutions
are needed. The Verari FOREST container solution is designed to house up to
1400 blade-based compute servers or nearly 12 petabytes of blade-based
storage by utilizing Verari¹s BladeRack® 2 X-Series platforms in a modular
unit. Verari is the market leader in blade storage, shipping over 30
petabytes in 2007.

"There are a growing number of enterprises looking to address power,
cooling, floor space and environmental (PCFE) issues while balancing IT
server and storage resource performance, availability, capacity and energy
(PACE) service levels to support the dynamic server and storage growth needs
of Web 2.0 and unstructured data," said Greg Schulz, senior analyst, The
StorageIO Group. "A pre-configured, fully contained blade-based solution
designed to optimize the amount of performance and capacity in a dense and
energy efficient manner is a step in the right direction to address PCFE
related issues and constraints."
