COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- STORServer, manufacturer of the all-in-one suite of Data Protection Appliances announces today that the company has expanded its product offering to include Compellent’s storage area network (SAN). The Compellent SAN will further STORServer’s vision of enabling organizations to simplify the management of complex IT operations in the areas of system, storage and data protection to give their customers peace of mind.

The Compellent Storage Center builds on its Dynamic Block Architecture to deliver a scalable, open-systems platform that is designed to allow businesses to mix and match disk drives, controllers and enclosures. Compellent will allow STORServer customers to improve utilization and lower overall costs with automated tiered storage, boot from SAN, thin provisioning and remote replication over Internet protocol (IP).
