Established in 1826, the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries operates ten cemeteries in the greater Toronto Area. It is a not-for-profit, non-share capital corporation that is neither owned nor subsidized by any level of government. A core responsibility for the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries' IT department is protecting data and business critical applications for its headquarters and all remote locations. To ensure compliance with its internal policies, the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries required a solution able to easily back-up data from many locations including its hosting provider. Multiple enterprise applications including Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server and Navision in a server consolidated VMware environment also had to be protected.
