SenSage Teams With HP

SAN FRANCISCO -- Enterprise software leader SenSage, Inc., today announced that its event data management software is included in the new HP Trusted Compliance Solution for Energy (HP TCS-e) appliance announced today by HP (view the press release at: http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2007/070515a.html).

The HP TCS-e is a specialized security appliance that combines SenSage event data management software with HPs FIPS 140-2 Level 4-certified hardware-based security subsystem, compliance automation software and storage technology. The new solution is designed to make it easier for energy operators to meet the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) 2006 Critical Information Protection 002-009 requirements for cyber security, compliance and audit.

Event data records – also known as log data – are created whenever time-stamped transactions occur in the enterprise IT infrastructure. The retention of log data and the ability for corporations to quickly inspect these records have become vital to businesses, not only for meeting audit readiness and regulatory compliance, but also for detecting suspicious activity, insider threats and other security breaches.

“Collecting and analyzing massive amounts of event log data has become a cornerstone requirement for regulatory compliance,” said Frank Bien, vice president of products and alliances of SenSage. “SenSage’s turnkey event data management software platform lets our customers quickly and cost-effectively capture and query volumes of log data so that relevant business information is available whenever needed. As a technology leader, HP recognizes these requirements. We’re delighted to be teaming with HP on the delivery of the HP Integrity server-based TCS-e solution and anticipate expanding our relationship to additional markets where compliance is a key pain point.”
