QLogic SANbox Gets Certified

QLogic SANbox switches and routers certified by IBM

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- QLogic Corp. (NasdaqGS:QLGC - News), the leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs), stackable switches and blade server switches, today announced that SANbox(r) 9000 Series core switches and SANbox 6140 intelligent storage routers have been pre-qualified for interoperability with IBM System Storage products. IBM business partners and customers can now deploy SANbox products with the knowledge the solution has been confirmed by IBM to have successfully completed interoperability testing with specified IBM System Storage products. QLogic SANbox 9000 core switches and SANbox 6140 intelligent storage routers have been confirmed as IBM System Storage Proven(tm) with IBM System x and System p servers, as well as IBM System Storage DS4700, DS6800 and DS8100 products.

"IBM customers are asking for products that are fully tested for interoperability in a customer environment,'' said Jesse Parker, vice president and general manager, QLogic Switch Products Group. ``SANbox core switches and intelligent storage routers have been confirmed by IBM to be successfully installed and running with IBM System Storage products in a customer environment, and successfully completed interoperability testing with specified IBM System Storage products."
