In his previous video in this GNS3 series, David Bombal explained how to integrate Open vSwitch with Cisco routers in a GNS3 network. In this video, he demonstrates how to integrate Open vSwitch with the open source OpenDaylight SDN controller running in GNS3. OpenDaylight supports multiple southbound protocols, but in this demonstration, Bombal uses the OpenFlow protocol on the southbound interface between OpenDaylight and OpenvSwitch. He uses the Cisco DevNet OpenDaylight OpenFlow Manager application.
