FilesX Achieves IBM Certification

NEWTON, Mass. -- FilesX, a leading provider of next-generation data protection and rapid recovery solutions, today announced that its FilesX Xpress Restore software suite has successfully completed interoperability testing with select IBM System Storage™ based solutions and has become a certified member of the IBM System Storage Proven™ solution program. The IBM System Storage Proven program builds on IBM's already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third-party products. This class of qualification ensures interoperability for companies planning to deploy the Xpress Restore software suite within their IBM System Storage environment.

Based on FilesX’ proven Next-Generation Data Protection and Recovery technology, Xpress Restore software enables global enterprises to have full protection and easy recovery of data for mission-critical Windows applications, such as Microsoft® Exchange, SQL, Lotus NotesTM, Oracle® and SAP®, in the data center and in remote branch offices. Xpress Restore blends true CDP, frequent and scheduled protection engines to deliver a flexible and adjustable platform to protect any Windows environment. It provides a wide spectrum of granular recovery schemes, including single files, folders or full volumes; e-mail messages, contacts or mailboxes; or individual database tables. The rapid recovery capabilities of Xpress Restore enable companies to get their local or remote production environments running in minutes, rather than hours or days following any type of data loss. The Xpress Restore DR module enables companies to selectively replicate sensitive data to regional, central or disaster recovery sites.

“We are pleased to extend our comprehensive data protection and rapid disaster recovery solutions to IBM storage environments,” said Bob Kelly, FilesX director of business development, “and look forward to helping IBM customers take advantage of FilesX Xpress Restore’s unique set of capabilities that eliminates the need for the assembly of ‘point’ solutions to ensure effective data protection and recovery processes across the enterprise.”
