EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- EVault, Inc., a Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX) company and the trusted expert in complete data protection solutions, announced today it is partnering with Intuit Eclipse, a leading provider of business management solutions for the wholesale distribution industry, to provide Intuit Eclipse customers with a new business continuity offering designed to help protect data in the event of a disaster.

The new service, Eclipse Business Connect Remote Backup, is powered by EVault technology, and offers users an opportunity to automatically back up business-critical data online to one of EVault's seven secure Tier III or IV data centers, all of which are SAS 70 Type II certified.

"After the punishing hurricane season of 2005 -- and especially after witnessing the damage done by Hurricane Katrina -- our customers told us they were eager for a new business continuity solution," said Sean Leaver, Intuit Eclipse customer support manager. "We researched the market and found that EVault's pioneering disk-to-disk backup and recovery technology and state-of-the-art managed services were a great fit for our customers."
