LONDON -- Elior UK (owned by Frances Group Elior) has outsourced its IT infrastructure and operations to SAVVIS in a strategic move to managed IT services and utility computing.
Elior caters for more than 1,000 UK restaurants, including corporate restaurants, museums, heritage sites, sporting arenas and airports. It serves enterprise customers directly, which include many FTSE 100 companies and also through upmarket brands such as the patisserie Paul.
Following considerable growth and multiple acquisitions over the past decade, Elior UK called on SAVVIS, a leading global provider of IT infrastructure services, to support increased customer demand and business growth.
Elior will benefit from a fully managed service from SAVVIS that integrates utility computing with real-time hosting across its UK operations. Under the terms of the 3 year deal, SAVVIS will host 16 applications for Elior including its email, EPOS, restaurant back-office and management and information systems, as well as its web services.
Eliors switch from a DIY IT approach and legacy systems, to a highly scaleable and resilient managed IT service, was imperative to support the roll-out of new services and to maintain a competitive advantage. By consolidating and centralising its IT infrastructure, Elior will be able to channel its IT resources into more strategic IT projects that will deliver additional value to customers and help enable its ambitious growth targets to be met.
