COLUMBIA, Md. -- Digi-Data Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high performance storage systems and RAID controllers for large digital archives, utility storage and data protection, and Concentia Digital, a content management services company, have joined to provide a storage solution for ArchivaSports™.

ArchivaSports, a division of Concentia Digital, offers a Web-based video archive system that connects athletes, parents, coaches, agents and scouts by providing a centralized online warehouse to store, search, re-use and maintain all aspects of any type of sporting event. Users can quickly click, cut and play their way to video editing, footage retrieval and file distribution at any time and from anywhere in the world with Internet access. The system is provided on a subscription basis and sites can be customized for the user, such as a school or agent. It is the only service that allows every game, play and comment to be managed and hosted so that it can be seen anywhere at any time.

With the increasing demand for its services, ArchivaSports was in need of a storage solution that was reliable with high bandwidth. Subscription members often store entire seasons of sporting events, driving the need to respond to high demand at times. ArchivaSports looked to its parent company, Concentia Digital, for a solution.

“We needed a storage solution that would be very high-bandwidth as viewers would need to see the footage without any glitches. Plus, it had to be flexible to grow with our business,” says Derrick Lewis, president of ArchivaSports and former pro basketball player. “We feel we are well protected with Digi-Data. Its systems are fully redundant and easy to expand when we need the capacity.”
