Brocade announced that NIFTY Corporation has chosen Brocade solutions to manage its SAN environment

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Brocade) (Nasdaq: BRCD - News), the world-leading provider of Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions, today announced that NIFTY Corporation, one of Japan's leading Internet services providers, has chosen Brocade solutions to manage its SAN environment. Using Brocade directors, switches, and routers, NIFTY successfully consolidated services previously delivered from multiple SAN islands into a service-oriented core network with a centralized, easy-to-manage core-edge SAN architecture. This new design is designed to enable faster backup of data and improved efficiency in storage management. With the implementation of Brocade SAN solutions, NIFTY has successfully reduced the time needed to set up storage services for customers from two to three months down to a just a few hours.
