SALT LAKE CITY -- Revinetix, a pioneer in Disk2Disk2Disk(TM) backup solutions, today announced the release of RevOS(TM) 2.0, a major software upgrade for its Sentio(TM) and Volo(TM) lines of disk-based network backup appliances. Significant feature enhancements include support for Microsoft® Exchange message-level backup, Network Attached Storage (NAS), expanded Bare Metal Restoration, and broader Operating System (OS) compatibility.

"Most SMBs can't afford, nor do they have the necessary staff to implement the feature sets of enterprise disaster avoidance solutions, which is unfortunate since they face the same challenges as the enterprise in trying to safeguard their critical data," said Revinetix President Thomas G. Hogan. "Revinetix' RevOS has proven itself to be the premier software for Disk2Disk2Disk backup and restoration appliances in the SMB market since its launch 2 years ago. The 2.0 release incorporates the features most requested by our customers and extends RevOS' lead in price performance over anything else on the market."

Exchange Agent

A native Microsoft Exchange Server Agent is now available for RevOS to view, select and restore individual emails and/or mailboxes from live Exchange server databases based on search criteria. Enabling users to confidently backup and restore Exchange messaging quickly from disk is designed to help SMBs to effectively address government email retention guidelines, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, and other regulations.

Designed for Windows® Exchange 2000/2003, theRevinetix Exchange Agent 1.0 for Microsoftis managed through Revinetix' Web-based administration interface to easily perform all needful backups and restores, ranging from a single message to an entire mail box. This new brick-level recovery feature will be offered as an option at the time of purchase for any Sentio or Volo device. Pricing starts at $500 for 50 mailboxes or $1,995 for unlimited users.NAS

IT administrators can now make unused disk space on Volo and Sentio devices available to users on the local area network (LAN). New built-in Network Attached Storage (NAS) capabilities have been added to RevOS, which allow users to quickly and easily add storage capacity for RAID-protected file sharing.

Small and medium businesses (SMBs) can now gain dual functionality from a Revinetix backup solution, as it serves also as a network file server providing 500GB to 5.8TB of storage capacity at no extra cost. Unused disk space can be efficiently utilized to eliminate the need to purchase a separate NAS device.

BMR

Revinetix continues to enhance its acclaimed RevOS' Bare Metal Restore (BMR) software. This software enables IT managers to create a complete disk image to add new users or get current users back up and productive after a fatal system crash. The RevOS BMR now supports a wider range of hardwareRevinetix Inc.
