CHICAGO -- DiscoveryBox announced today that its integrated legal hold and e-discovery software product has been selected by Strategic Discovery, Inc. (Strategic Discovery) to be implemented on a beta test basis. Strategic Discovery, a consulting firm that provides litigation and records management services to global Fortune 500 companies, is interested in the ability of DiscoveryBox to assist its clients in streamlining their e-discovery processes and in reducing e-discovery costs.

DiscoveryBoxs legal hold features allow in-house counsel to track and manage all legal holds and document reviews across multiple matters for multiple custodians. Strategic Discovery will beta test DiscoveryBox as a core e-discovery and legal hold tool with the goal of incorporating this innovative product into its suite of services.

“Strategic Discovery’s decision to deploy DiscoveryBox on a beta test basis is a tremendous validation of our integrated, enterprise-wide approach to e-discovery,” said Riki Fujitani, president of DiscoveryBox. “As a recognized leader in the e-discovery space, Strategic Discovery’s use of our product is a strong acknowledgement of the excellent value proposition offered by DiscoveryBox.”

With its unique legal hold repository, DiscoveryBox allows companies to deploy a comprehensive solution that leverages their existing document management platform and can scale enterprise-wide to service a corporation’s entire case load. Under the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that took effect in December, companies have a clear duty to preserve electronic documents and to produce those documents in a timely fashion during the legal discovery process. These new rules present corporations with the most compelling compliance mandate since the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Companies that fail to meet those standards risk costly court sanctions and adverse judgments.

“We have seen many types of e-discovery solutions in the marketplace, but very few take an integrated approach to legal hold and e-discovery,” said Daryl Teshima, Co-Founder and Principal of Strategic Discovery. “While most products address one part of the e-discovery process, DiscoveryBox allows our clients to manage the process from the preservation of documents through production, and even allows them to re-use collections and review calls across matters.”DiscoveryBox
