C2C Adds OEM Versions
Archive One now available to hardware, software vendors looking to add email archiving management capabilities to their product offerings
April 24, 2007
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- C2C, a leading supplier of enterprise email archiving software, today announced two OEM versions of its award-winning Archive One solution that allows hardware and software vendors to incorporate email archiving capabilities into their current product offerings.
The first version of the OEM release targets storage hardware and software vendors looking to create tailor-made solutions that will address the specific needs of their customers and channel partners base. The unique plug-and-play approach of Archive One’s storage management interface allows C2C to deliver customized versions of the product quickly by coupling it to various storage solutions, enabling vendors to create value-added bundled solutions.
The second variant is designed for OEMs who want closer integration and specific added value for their own applications. The ability to drive Archive One through the SDK has enabled other application vendors to integrate archiving within their own software solutions quickly and seamlessly, creating a win-win situation for vendors and customers alike. This release is based on the flexibility of the Archive One Integration Framework SDK and its scripting language together with the modular storage management interface architecture.
According to Jonathan Buckley, Vice President of Marketing at Santa Clara, Calif.-based PowerFile, “We have gained a significant number of users over competitors because of their need for permanent email archiving and ease of use. Bundling C2C with our Permanent Storage Appliance™ product has created a new level of simplicity and convenience for our mutual customers and channel partners alike.
“Our vision has always been for an open architecture, by creating plug-in storage managers, and to allow the product to be driven by other applications. It is without question that email archiving is critical to storage and data repository as evidenced by the great deal of interest we’ve had from third parties,” says Dave Hunt, CEO at C2C. “We are providing the next logical step to allow vendors to gain from Archive One by actually enabling them to shape their solution to match the requirements of their market and customers.”C2C Systems
