MILPITAS, Calif. -- Adaptec, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADPT), a global leader in trusted storage solutions, today announced a new program for Snap Server channel partners in North America. The new Adaptec PartnerConnect Program aids partners in maximizing their revenue by leveraging the full product line of Snap Server hardware, software, and customer service offerings to meet a broad range of business needs. The program offers dedicated pre-sales support, secure deal registration, lead sharing, web-based training for improved partner education, and easily customized marketing tools.

The launch of this program follows a complete refresh of the entire Snap Server product line, from compact desktop models that start at 160GB capacity and are ideal for remote offices, to small/medium enterprise solutions that scale to 66TB and include software to reliably protect, replicate, move, and manage data for the company. Adaptec PartnerConnect Program m embers are provided with the strategies and tools needed to maximize sales and further their reputation as a provider of storage solutions. The Adaptec PartnerConnect Program offers levels for direct marketers, solution providers and value added resellers, providing distinct benefits for each partner category. These benefits include:

  • Access to a secure partner portal for registering opportunities to ensure a high level of support;

  • Allocation of well qualified leads from Adaptec-sponsored lead generation activities;

  • Dedicated inside sales and field sales representatives to support quotations, configurations, joint sales calls, and events;

  • Assigned Adaptec sales and system engineers combined with web-based training to help partners optimize solution performance, and facilitate customer deployments;

  • Customizable marketing materials including web banners, email blasts, web pages and print ads to jumpstart or enhance partner marketing efforts.

I speak with resellers, solution providers, and other channel partners regularly. One of their biggest complaints is the level of complexity that many vendors, especially in the storage market, have brought to their partner programs,” said Janet Waxman, vice president hardware channels and alliances at IDC. “I am pleased to see Adaptec buck this trend with the introduction of a ‘back-to-basics’ partner program that makes it easy for the channel to participate in a mutually beneficial business relationship. Combined with the ongoing strength of the Snap Server brand, the new Adaptec PartnerConnect Program gives channel partners the solutions, tools and support they need in the fast paced market of SME storage.”

“Adaptec has built a strong reputation in the channel for giving our partners the products, tools and programs they need to grow their sales. We’re launching this new program from the ground-up, creating an easy to understand structure that maximizes sales opportunities with a minimum level of administrative burden,” said John Noellert, vice president of channel sales for the Americas at Adaptec. “Our partners and their customers need more than basic Network Attached Storage (NAS); they require data management, protection, and replication to ensure data security and accessibility. We offer our partners a complete hardware and software solution portfolio that provides add-on sales opportunities. By combining value-add products, deal registration, product training, and a focused sales team, our new partner program makes our channel partners more competitive.”Adaptec Inc.
