BOCA RATON, Fla. -- CrossTec Corporation has released version 3.5 of its Activeworx Security Center event management (SIM) software. The upgrade contains new features that provide simple ways to comply with federal regulations; analyze and share real-timesecurity data; and efficiently manage and protect networks.

IT managers can tackle arduous federal compliance reporting by using the new embeddedreporting center, which allows users to control parameters and schedule automated reportingtasks. Activeworx 3.5 is bundled with over 200 new PCI, SOX, GLBA and HIPAA reports at noadditional cost.

“Every day, hackers, thieves and even a company’s own employees are finding newways to access consumers’ personal credit card data,” said Jeff Richards, vice president ofCrossTec’s security division. “Activeworx developers have added reports specifically to helporganizations show they comply with the PCI Data Security Standard and help them avoid finesof up to $500,000 per incident for non-compliance.”
