A-Server Launches Cloud Services

LOCHRISTI, Belgium -- A-Server, a specialist in datacenter virtualization, has launched its Datacenter-as-a-Service (www.DAAS.com) offering to service providers, to allow them to create, manage and deliver low cost and flexible cloud computing services. DAAS.com is based on Sun Microsystems hardware.

Based on price comparison with similar services from for example Amazon, Fossen estimates a cost reduction of approximately 60% due to its powerful provisioning and management system with more efficient utilisation techniques that drive down operational costs. DAAS.com is only available through service providers to enable them to create highly tailored and profitable value added services for end clients.
