IRVINE, Calif. -- Zetera Corporation and Double-Take Software (NASDAQ: DBTK - News), a provider of solutions for recoverability, including continuous data replication, application availability and system state protection, announced today a strategic alliance to certify and jointly market remote replication solutions. The new partnership will enable Double-Take Software channel partners and Zetera licensees utilizing Zetera's Z-SAN® SoIP storage technology to offer small/medium businesses affordable and simple solutions for disaster recovery and high availability.

Zetera's acclaimed Z-SAN SoIP (Storage over Internet Protocol) is a lower cost, less complex storage alternative to iSCSI and Fibre Channel. With price points comparable to DAS (direct attach storage), Z-SAN combined with the affordable solutions from Double-Take Software, enables a wider range of businesses to deploy remote replication sites without adding unnecessary complexity, staffing or hardware expense. Double-Take Software provides accessible and affordable data protection solutions for Microsoft® Windows® applications and is used by more than ten thousand customers worldwide for disaster recovery, high availability and centralized backup.

"Zetera's innovative approach to storage technology is a great match with Double-Take Software solutions and promises to enable wide spread adoption of remote replication. Up until now, there hasn't been an option scaled to meet the needs of smaller businesses in both cost and ease of deployment. Since Zetera's technology is also being leveraged by our distribution partner, Bell Microproducts, in their Hammer Z-Series® we see great synergies with the VAR channel," commented Bob Roudebush, director of solutions engineering, Double-Take Software.
