Winchester Unveils Disk Arrays

Two new disk arrays complete a rollout of its 9th generation FlashDisk product line

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Winchester Systems Inc., a leading data storage solutions provider, today announced two new disk arrays that completes a rollout of its 9th generation FlashDisk product line.

The FlashDisk SX-2300 Series now offers both Fibre Channel and SAS host interfaces with SAS and SATA disk drives in 2U enclosures that hold 12 drives in the base unit and 12 drives in each of 4 expansion shelves for a maximum of 60 drives totaling 60 TB of tiered storage.The SX-2392S offers a single controller and 2 Fibre Channel ports while the SX-2394R offers dual redundant controllers and 4 Fibre Channel ports.

The complete FlashDisk SX Series product family now includes three models that are comprised of 1U, 2U and 3U shelves that offer vast flexibility in configuration and expansion. The product line supports Fibre Channel and SAS host interfaces, SAS and SATA disks and expands to up to 80 TB.

The FlashDisk SX-3400 Series also offers iSCSI interfaces with up to8 iSCSI ports that make the storage available on the network to multiple servers. With Fibre Channel interfaces it provides "SAN-In-A-Box" connectivity to as many as 8 servers directly without switches.

The FlashDisk SX-1300 Series also supports 2.5" disk drives forTier1+ performance for database hot files. Also, the FlashDiskFC-3400 supports traditional Fibre Channel disk drives again with "SAN-In-A-Box" connectivity for up to 8 servers.Winchester Systems Inc.
