We decided to set up a dedicated syslog server to aggregate messages from the routers and switches, so after a load of RedHat onto a litlte 1U server and the editing of a few configuration files our syslog server is up and running and doing its assigned duties. Our addition of SQL server went well - of course, all we did was install the thing so far. We're holding off on actually replicating data for a month or so - we've got an upcoming review that it just so happens will take care of that chore in real time for us. ;-)
