Storewiz Becomes Storewize

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- After a successful corporate launch and having established a firm foothold in the storage industry as the only provider of real-time, universal, transparent and rapid primary storage compression solutions, Storewiz Inc. today announced a name change to Storwize Inc. to better reflect its progression from startup company to full-fledged industry leader. The new corporate identity will become effective on October 1, 2007.

In the past year alone, Storwize has expanded operations in key global markets, established a worldwide channel partner program, relocated its corporate headquarters to a larger facility in the heart of Silicon Valley, introduced its third generation of primary data compression appliances, completed a Series B funding round of $9 million, won several coveted industry honors from analyst firms and leading IT publications, and added multiple new customers in different vertical markets worldwide.

We are proud of our accomplishments and are committed to maintaining our momentum and technology leadership,” said Gal Naor, Storwize CEO. “Storwize is well represented by knowledgeable, talented and dedicated employees who are working together to provide innovative primary data compression solutions. These solutions are designed for organizations looking to intelligently reduce the amount of primary storage they have under management while minimizing the costs associated with running that storage. While our name change does not change our core competencies nor our mission to provide these beneficial appliances to customers looking for simple solutions that provide immediate ROI, it does more accurately reflect our position in the industry as those who have discovered a more intelligent way to store data.”
