(SMART), the Philippines' leading wireless service provider, has selected the data warehouse appliance solution offered by the two companies based on its demonstrated superior performance. The Sun Data Warehouse Appliance, powered by Sun and Greenplum, is built on open source software-the SolarisTM 10 Operating System (OS) and PostgreSQL-and deliver two orders of magnitude better price-performance over competitive products.
