Rackable to Speak in Tokyo

FREMONT, Calif. -- Mark Barrenechea, President and CEO of Rackable Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:RACK), a leading provider of servers and storage products for large-scale data centers, will keynote the Interop Tokyo 2008 Conference and Expo on June 13 and discuss how technology, infrastructure and deployment innovation will enable the building of the worlds greenest data centers.

Interop Tokyo is one of the largest events of its kind, serving the Asia IT industry and end user community. With an expected attendance of 155,000, the trade show will address the impact of IT equipment on the environment, with “GreenIT@Interop” as one of the five Interop Special Focus Areas in 2008. The conference takes place on June 9 – 13, 2008 at the Makuhari Messe.

“Building Green Data Centers is no longer just a social good, it is now a corporate mandate,” said Barrenechea. “Japan is leading the development of the world’s greenest data centers, and has demonstrated a commitment to developing and supporting increased energy efficient technology, such as virtualization and DC power, and eco-friendly data center designs, such as right-sizing server and storage configurations — the necessary elements for building a true Eco-Logical™ data center. Rackable is proud to partner with CTC to enable Green Data centers in Japan.”
