ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- QLogic Corp.

board of directors has authorized a new program to repurchase up to
$300 million of the Company's outstanding common stock. This action
taken by the Company's board of directors at a regularly scheduled
meeting follows the Company's most recent $200 million stock repurchase
program adopted in November 2005, which is substantially complete.
