DALLAS -- Plasmon (LSE:PLM), the trusted source in archiving solutions today announced the introduction of the Archive File Manager which pulls static data off NAS and SAN-based storage and migrates or copies it to Plasmons UDO Archive Appliance™ or the Enterprise Active Archive.

The Plasmon Archive File Manager gathers critical information from file systems about storage capacity levels and data usage to provide businesses with a clear understanding of how their primary storage is utilized and the types of data actually stored. This gives users the knowledge to ensure they are in compliance with industry regulations as well as providing higher operational efficiencies for the business. The Archive File Manager also eliminates backup issues associated with static data by automatically migrating it to an archive tier that provides low-cost, secure retention on permanent storage. These benefits are attained using an agentless deployment architecture with seamless application access.
